Hi, I joined Manly Squadron in 1963 at age 11(junior cadet) and left as a second officer in 1969. I was in Manly Squadron.I became a private Pilot in 1975 and a Commercial in 1978.I have been flying ever since.I have in excess of 23000 hours and i love it( i own a Thruster and a Jabiru)I am currently employed by Qantas Link as a Dash 8 400 captain.I am now 57years old.My time in the AAL cemented my career in aviation which had also been fuelled by my fathers WW2 time as a Beaufighter observer in 31 Squadron RAAF.I march every year at Anzac Day too to rememember them. Good luck to all you cadets in your future aviation careers! I would recommend the AAL to you all! Cheers, Greg

I have only just found this site and I think it is a great way to stay in contact with those you spent a large amount of your youth with.I was a member of the FTGully Squadron from 1980-87 and they were the heydays of the AAL. To all current,members that have since left and those who have past on, keep the spirit alive within and make it prosper.If my sister Darlene is reading this Happy Birthday for yesterday.
