It is with regret that I advise of the death on Tuesday 21st October 2008 of Commissioner (Retired) Muriel Roser LM., DSA of Blackheath New South Wales.

Muriel joined the Australian Air League on 1st February 1945 as a cadet at Bellevue Hill Company and later served as an Officer in the Company, as they were then called.

Transferring to the New South Wales Girls’ Group Staff, she was appointed as Group Field Commissioner and was awarded a Distinguished Service Award in 1978.

Muriel was appointed to Federal Staff as Federal Field Commissioner and subsequently, Federal Administration Commissioner.  She also served a number of years on Council of the League.

The Council of the Australian Air League bestowed Life Membership on Muriel for dedicated service to the Australian Air League.

Muriel retired from the Air League in 1990.
