I wish to advise that Her Excellency Ms Quentin Bryce AC, Governor General of the Commonwealth of Australia has accepted the invitation to become the League’s Patron in Chief.

The League has held the patronage of Governors General from Sir Isaac Isaacs (1933/34) to Dr Peter Hollingworth (2003) and is pleased that we have been able to renew this link.

Hereunder is the letter from the Office of the Official Secretary to the Governor-General advising the League of Her Excellency’s acceptance.

Mr Jeff Watson, the League’s Patron, continues in his role and has welcomed the patronage of the Governor General.
