The Hellcats Visit Forest Lake

On the 15th of February 2012,  Hellcats Aviation visited the Forest Lake Squadron to teach the Cadets about model aeroplane flying, bringing with them three different simulators and a couple of large impressively made models. All the Cadets had a lot of fun trying to fly and land a plane properly, while learning about how the planes are controlled, and how much training you need to fly a remote controlled plane and what you need to look out for to be able to fly.

After the night had ended everybody was more excited about the weekend, when we were to visit the Hellcats and fly some real remote controlled planes, We learnt a lot that day, including the different types of remote model aircraft and what you need to use each one. The difficulties involved in flying the aircraft, and the enjoyment in controlling real model aircraft, and even different sports and/or competitions that use particular types of remote controlled aircraft.
