National Qualifications for Air League Volunteers
Did you know your membership in the Air League could count towards a National Qualification?
The Air League is developing an exciting range of new programs for older cadets, Warrant Officers, Trainee Officers and Squadron Officers in partnership with the School of Volunteer Management – a Sydney based Registered Training Organisation. Those taking part can develop a portfolio of achievement for Certificate Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3 in Active Volunteering and each program would be designed to recognise Air League training and experience. For example, Level 1 could be achieved in less than 30 hours of Squadron time – or one school term.
These new qualifications will recognise the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, including older cadets and NCOs
Federal Training Commissioner, Tom Short, said, “These new qualifications will recognise the hard work and dedication of our volunteers, including older cadets and NCOs. I would encourage everyone to take part and get qualified”.
The fee for enrolment at Level 1 will be set at $120 and this includes for registration, learning resources, assessment process and final certification. Participants would work on their learning portfolios in their own time, drawing evidence from Air League activities and training.
