Air League to take off in Whittlesea
The Australian Air League looking to expand in to Whittlesea.
The Australia Air League is holding a public information session at 7.30pm Friday Friday, at the Whittlesea Scout Hall on Fir St.
There are more than 80 squadrons active in Queensland, NSW, Victoria, the ACT and SA.
Australia Air League spokesman Jim Humphrey said the group was hoping to spend its 75th year reaching new heights, including the launch of a Whittlesea squadron.
“It’s our 75th anniversary this year, in Victoria, so we’re looking to expand into other areas,” Mr Humphrey said.
“We’re also planning on forming squadrons later this year in Eltham, Avondale Heights, Point Cook and Sydenham.”
