Despite the wet and windy weather the cadets and Officers of the Dick Smith Wing of the Australian Air League (Southport, Forest Lake and Gold Coast Squadrons) attended the Aviation Careers Expo hosted by Aviation Australia at Brisbane over the weekend. A great deal of positive interest was shown by the public and industry in the display and activities.

As well as the information display for the Air League, the parents of Southport Squadron ran the sausage sizzle on the day for RACQ CareFlight Rescue, raising nearly $800 for this worthwhile cause.

The expo was a great day with very good attendance, our sincere thanks go once again to Aviation Australia for their generous ongoing support.
