The Group Build Competition is a new model building category introduced for the Australian Air League Review, based on popular aircraft in 1/72 scale. The category is designed to be accessible to all members, encourage cadets to get in to model building and to simplify education programmes for Squadrons with a common model.

For the Australian Air League Review 2018 the aircraft chosen is the

“Messerschmitt Bf109”

The model can be any version and brand of 1/72 Scale ‘Messerschmitt Bf109’ with the exception of; Hobbyboss ‘Easy Assembly Authentic Kits’, snap together kits or diecast metal or plastic ready built models.

The model must be built ‘Out of the Box’. Only the parts and markings from the kit can be used. No ‘Aftermarket’ parts or decals will be allowed.

We encourage all Squadrons to get behind this category and include it in their Squadron programme.
