Coolangatta Tweed Squadron / Air Gold Coast Open Day

Today our Squadron went to the Air Gold Coast Open Day at Gold Coast Airport. Air Gold Coast is the venue where we have our weekly parade nights and we went to help Mr Long the General Manager with visitor parking and selling raffle tickets.

Inside the main hangar we were able see and sit inside a Beech 58 Baron, Cessna 152, Cessna 172RG, Cessna 172 and a Beech 76 Duchess.

Mr Andrew Ward is the Chief Flying Instructor who teaches students to fly here, he allowed the public and cadets to use both simulators on the Open Day. There were many crashes but a few of us survived!

We had a sausage sizzle which was a great success, we raised a lot of funds for our squadron.

Mr Long, all of Coolangatta/ Tweed squadron wants to say thank you for all of the great things that you do for the Australian Air League.
