Forest Lake Squadron of the Australia Air League is holding their annual Women in Aviation – Evening in the Hangar event during the upcoming International Women’s Week.

This has been a highly successful activity for Forest Lake Squadron which has resulted in an over 40% female representation in the Squadron.

Each year the squadron is supported by women in the aviation industry how attend as guest speakers.  This gives the cadets and general public that are also invited to attend and opportunity to learn from and speak with women in all different areas of aviation.

This year the theme is “The Future is here for Girls and Young Women in Aviation”.  The guest speakers will talk about their careers, experience and share insights into the future in aviation for their field.  The evening includes an informal mingle with guests and visitors which allow for more personal conversations and a very hotly contested Pink Paper Plane competition.
