As of 1st February 2011, there will be a new GP4 workbook. This is not merely an upadate of the current workbook but a total rewrite. The will be a transition period to the new workbook, a six month period in which the old GP4 workbook will still be able to be used. Details can be found in F/EI No.19 01/11.
The Council of the Australian Air League has reviewed the rates applicable for Annual Subscriptions and New Memberships and these new rates will take effect from 1st July 2011. Details can be found in F/AI 01/11.
In 2009 the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) gave permission for the Australian Air League to fly the Civil Air Ensign. Recently that permission was extended for a further two years, allowing the League to fly the Ensign at Reviews, ANZAC and Remembrance Day Services and other aviation related community commemorations and services.
On the weekend of 18th/19th February 2011, the Chairman of the Council of the Australian Air League, the League’s Secretary, the National Staff and the Executive Commissioners had the pleasure, and honour, to spend a Saturday and Sunday with the ‘cream’ of the Australian Air League’s youth membership.
