Donation by Ansett Pilots AssociationThe former union representing the pilots of Ansett Australia – the Ansett Pilots Association (APA) was finally disbanded in March this year and it was decided that a large proportion of its left over funds should be donated to the Australian Air League to help them continue “training tomorrow’s pilots… today”. VALE – Comr Ron Moffat, DSA., MSAIt is with regret that we advise of the untimely passing, on Saturday 18 April 2009, of the Federal Operations Commissioner, Commissioner Ronald John Moffat, DSA., MSA. Ron was born on 21st October 1951 and joined Niddrie Squadron of the Australian Air League on 18th June 1963. He maintained his association with that Squadron throughout his 45.8 years service. The funeral service will be conducted at Fawkner Crematorium & Memorial Park, Sydney Road, Fawkner, VIC at 1400 hours on Friday 24th April 2009. Australian Air League members are invited to attend in full uniform. Officers will wear decorations. Full details can be found in F/FRO/2/09 .
