Air League looks to new Squadron in Coolangatta
Cadet members from the Australian Air League recently attended Air Gold Coast’s Open Day to view their facilities and experience the pilot flight training simulator.
During their visit Peter Long, General Manager of this long established local organisation expressed surprise that the Air League did not have a squadron in the Coolangatta/Tweed area.
He added that given the wide range of aviation activities and the many flight schools that operate around Coolangatta this seemed like an ideal place to expand the organisations presence in Queensland.
To establish a squadron in the Coolangatta area just seven members are required together with a couple of adults to train as leaders. Initially, a Coolangatta squadron would be operated by some of Air Leagues’ existing officers. Read more here.
