2nd Officer Tracey Rosen and Branch President Tim Rosen of the Gold Coast Squadron of the Australian Air League were honoured to be nominated in late 2011 for Fadden Community Volunteer Awards.
These awards were presented at a community ceremony in early December by Federal MP Stuart Robert (Shadow Minister for Defence Science, Technology and Personnel) and the Rosens were accompanied by OC Gold Coast, 1st Officer Walter Savell and GC Branch Treasurer Mrs Savell, as well as family. The occasion brought broader recognition also for the Squadron and Air League, long supported by Mr Robert, and staff of his office. The Rosens said that it was humbling to be part of this occasion, where there were a great many other volunteers who had given much to the Gold Coast community in many areas, and gratifying to know that their efforts were contributing to results & youth outcomes valued by others.
