2019 Wing Awards

Congratulations to Senja Robey BEM and Tristar Aviation on their recent 2019 Wings Awards, that recognise contributions to general aviation.

Senja was awarded the Col Pay Award for a Lifetime of Service to General Aviation, recognising her 50+ years of instructing and her work with the Australian Women Pilots Association amongst other achievements. Senja’s husband, Keith Robey was also the first cadet of the Australian Air League, founded by his father George in 1934.

Flying Training Organisation of the Year was Tristar Aviation at Moorabbin Airport, Victoria. Tristar was founded by Geoff and Adrianne Fleming in 1993, Adrianne is also the Group Executive Commissioner of the Victoria Group of the Australian Air League, to whom Tristar provide reduced-cost flight training and air experience flights.
