ANZAC Day 2020 was different to ANZAC Days of years past. The COVID pandemic prevented gatherings at services or marches, but it could not stop the ANZAC Spirit.
Right around the country, Australians commemorated ANZAC Day 2020 by taking part in “Light Up The Dawn” from their driveway or balcony. The Australian Air League took part with cadets and Officers submitting photos and video that were prominently displayed through the media.
Cadets and Officers are invited to once again take part in a Last Post video, to be posted online in the lead up to ANZAC Day.
We want you to submit a photo or video of yourself in uniform at dawn (0600hrs) now on your driveway, at your front gate or on your verandas. Cadet may also choose to video themselves at this time reciting The Ode, or you may wish to explain what ANZAC Day means to you.
We will include all suitable photos submitted as well as the best videos in a montage clip to be released at Dawn on ANZAC Day, 25th April 2021. This is your chance to take part in a grassroots campaign to commemorate ANZAC Day in 2021.
Photos and videos, and any questions can be sent to anzacday@airleague.com.au Be sure to include your name and membership number in your email. Alternatively upload your photos and videos using the link provided here.
