Gliding Scholarship for Point Cook Cadet

Ayaan took his first gliding flight on a Squadron flying day with Point Cook Squadron and is now undertaking flying training with the Geelong Gliding Club

In April, Leading Cadet Ayaan Rao of the Point Cook Squadron of the Australian Air League successfully secured a Victoria Soaring Association YouthGlide scholarship. This scholarship will help him continue his gliding journey.

Ayaan joined the Air League in 2022 and last year began his flying training at the Victoria Group’s annual gliding camp.  This camp was organised with the help of the Geelong Gliding Club at Bacchus Marsh airfield.

This scholarship, valued at $1000 will support Ayaan’s gliding training towards his first solo flight and ultimately his Glider Pilot Certificate.

We wish him all the best with his training!
